Leadership development program that was easy to involve the entire organization

Coaching for Supervisor training and Coaching-based Skills platform

CEO Tuomas Räsänen and HR and Service Director Jasmin Saadetdin-Rikkinen of Tampere Messut Concern shared their experiences with the tailored Coaching Leadership program for supervisors. As part of the program, participants had access to the Coaching-based Skills online training platform.

Together Towards a Renewed Leadership Culture

The goal of the coaching was to strengthen a shared understanding of leadership identity and coaching practices, as well as to unify and renew the organization’s leadership culture. Leaders learned coaching skills that enable them to guide individuals and teams toward goal-oriented shared management. Additionally, they received concrete tools for navigating challenging leadership situations in everyday life, along with the opportunity to address questions related to work, leadership, and professional development in a trusting environment.

The entire workplace community reinforced their shared understanding of the new strategy and collaborative learning, acquiring new workplace skills and change capability while gaining practical tools to support their daily tasks.

The New Leadership Development Program Takes Off

According to Tuomas, the coaching leadership program was a diverse package that included many practical tools sought by supervisors. Notably, the structured feedback model and the Pillar model of coaching leadership stood out.

“The program was executed and facilitated excellently. The coach also appropriately challenged the participants. During the program, we developed a leadership development program that was easy to involve the entire organization. We achieved concrete results, as leadership feedback significantly improved in the subsequent survey.”

The significance of a systemic perspective has become clearer.

Jasmin mentioned that the program materials continued to support supervisory work even after the training concluded.

“We learned about concrete action models and leadership skills for various workplace situations. The program strengthened our organization’s change capability and helped us understand the impact of different factors at both individual and organizational levels, emphasizing systemic connections. The program was comprehensive and dealt with issues in depth—it brought confidence and courage to our leadership approach.”

“The materials used in the program are valuable resources in everyday work when discussing work methods with team members. They also support the ongoing development of supervisory skills.”

“Now we have common ways and models for acting as supervisors. Teamwork skills have developed, and the importance of giving feedback has been re-emphasized. The practical training in feedback skills has reduced the anxiety previously associated with giving feedback.”

“I recommend coaching leadership training for companies looking to renew their teamwork skills and leadership approach. Understanding of coaching leadership increases when teamwork skills are developed alongside leadership methods.”
