Become a Team Coach who brings teams together
Deepen your expertise in developing teams, leadership teams and organisations.
The internationally accredited Systemic Team Coach© program is designed for those who want to gain a deeper understanding of what really happens within teams and learn how to influence team dynamics and performance.
Team results are not achieved simply by having skilled individuals. What matters is how effectively people can think, learn, solve problems, make decisions and work together.
During the program, you will learn to recognise not only a team’s visible behaviour but also the underlying dynamics that influence it: group dynamics, roles, relationships, power, tensions and established ways of working.
You will learn more than how to facilitate better conversations. You will learn to coach teams in a way that strengthens their ability to lead themselves, overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
The Systemic Team Coach© programme is a unique team coaching programme, both in Finland and internationally. An award-winning programme that combines experiential learning, practical application and fresh research that inspires new ways of thinking.
It is the first team coaching programme in Finland and the Nordic countries to be accredited by both EMCC and ICF. In addition, completing the programme earns you 40 ICF Continuing Coach Education (CCE) credits.

What will you learn during the program?
- Seeing the team as a system
You will develop an understanding of group dynamics, interaction, roles, power and the team’s relationship with the wider organisation. - Building effective collaboration
You will learn how to strengthen trust, psychological safety, shared responsibility and purposeful action. - Working with tensions
You will gain the confidence and practical methods to address conflicts, challenging situations and difficult conversations. - Coaching the team – not just its individuals
You will learn to shift the focus from individual team members to relationships, patterns of interaction and the team’s collective capabilities. - Designing impactful coaching processes
You will learn how to agree on objectives, design a coaching process, engage stakeholders and evaluate its impact. - Developing as a team coach
You will strengthen your professional identity, reflective capacity and ability to work effectively even when you cannot know in advance what will emerge within the team.
Why a Systemic Approach?
You cannot understand a team by looking at individuals alone. Team challenges are often perceived as individual problems: one person lacks commitment, another dominates, a third withdraws, and decision-making becomes difficult.
As a systemic coach, you will learn to observe and explore:
- What is happening between people?
- What is maintaining the current way of working within this system?
- How do structures, roles, leadership and history influence the situation?
- What do the wider organisation and stakeholders expect from the team?
- What does the team need to learn to do differently together?
In the Systemic Team Coach© programme, you will learn to view a team as a living system in which individuals, relationships, purpose, structures and the operating environment continuously influence one another.
The more you are able to see, the wiser your interventions can become.
Learn by Working with a Real Team
You don’t become a team coach simply by studying team coaching. You develop into one by actually coaching teams.
That’s why every participant completes a supervised team coaching process with a real client team during the programme. You will work alongside a coaching partner, design the process, encounter the real-life dynamics of an actual team and evaluate the impact of your work.
Throughout the process, you will receive supervision from an experienced team coaching professional and qualified coaching supervisors. This brings together theory, practical experience, feedback and reflection. BoMentis also provides participants with access to client teams from its own network for practical training.
The programme also includes Coaching Leadership Pulse® team-user certification, which you will have the opportunity to put into practice during the programme.
You won’t graduate simply knowing more about team coaching. You will also have hands-on experience of doing it.
Program structure and content
The Systemic Team Coach© program explores both the theory and practice of team coaching in depth. What makes the program unique is that every participant gets to apply what they learn under supervision while working with a real team.
The program lasts approximately six months and includes eight in-person training days, a practical coaching assignment with a real client team, supervision related to the assignment, and a virtual workshop. The virtual workshop focuses on team coaching ethics and the professional code of ethics.
Who is the Systemic Team Coach© program for?
The Systemic Team Coach© program is designed for professionals who work with the development of teams, leadership teams or organisations and want to take their expertise beyond facilitation and individual coaching.
Typical participants include:
- Professional coaches and business coaches
- Leadership team and team development facilitators
- HR and organisational development professionals
- Supervisors and work-life coaches
- Agile coaches and other team development professionals
- Leaders and managers whose work involves strengthening team effectiveness and performance.
We recommend that participants have a prior understanding of coaching and its core competencies.
